SOCIAL ACTIVITieS

Kiwanis exists to help children in need, and this help can take many forms. In addition to the support we have given to existing projects over the years, we are always on the lookout for other initiatives that could use our help.

The district does not support projects per se. That is done at club level. However, the district does contribute to the visibility of activities carried out by several clubs, such as the Urban Youth Games and the Children’s Fund.

KIWANIS DOLLS

Being ill and hospitalised is no pleasure for anyone, and certainly not for children. The Kiwanis rag doll helps them through these difficult times. Kiwanis Belgium-Luxembourg has been supporting sick children for 25 years.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics is a worldwide organisation whose aim is to promote the integration of people with intellectual disabilities into our society through sport. Through compulsory training throughout the year, the individual learns to master and surpass himself.

URBAN YOUTH GAMES

We want to inspire and motivate children by promoting mutual exchanges. Driven by our values we encourage them to discover their own excellence through sporting initiatives.

KIWANIS supports OKIDOO

Promoting positive emotional development in children, whereby they develop care and respect for themselves and others, is vital if they are to become emotionally intelligent adults. But we read more and more often that it is difficult for children to achieve this balance.

a week at the seaside

For more than 40 years, the Kiwanis clubs in 3 divisions (Namur and Hainaut) have been working together to send more than 225 children on seaside holidays.

Kiwanis in Ukraine

The humanitarian disaster currently unfolding in Ukraine has provoked a wave of sympathy among Kiwanians throughout the district, as indeed among the entire population of our country.
